Short of your teacher rolling a TV into class on one of those strange metal-bar carts, there was nothing better than going on a field trip. The bus ride, realizing how odd it was to see your teachers outside of the classroom and hanging with your friends in new and exciting locations was always one of the highlights of the school year. This February, you can recreate those magical field trip moments while ensuring that future generations will get to do the same.
On February 9, Science World will host the Science of Cocktails Charity Gala to help raise funds for the Science World Class Field Trip Bursary program. These bursaries subsidize 50-100% of admission and include reserved programs and school bus fees for classes in grades K-12 in need of financial assistance.

The gala will feature everything you loved about those Science World field trips, plus an open bar (run by award-winning bartenders) and insanely delectable appetizers prepared by the city’s finest local chefs. Of course, this will be no ordinary gala; there will be plenty of molecular mixology, robots and prizes to make it worth the trip.

100% of ticket proceeds will go towards providing underfunded schools free access to Science World. Last year, Science of Cocktails raised $185,000 and hosted over 1,100 guests. This year, they’re aiming to raise $200,000 for kids that are as excited to learn as we are to sample these “scientific cocktails”.
