Georgia Medical-Dental Building

Vancouver’s first art deco building, the Georgia Medical-Dental Building (left) was erected in 1929 at the corner of Georgia and Hornby. Featuring whimsical ornaments along natural, medical and mythological themes, the building was demolished in 1989 despite an intense bid to save it.
