Rain or Shine: Taking a Dip in Vancouver’s Public Pools

Whether you’re tired of getting sand in everything or are just flat-out afraid of sharks, there’s plenty of reasons to hit up one of the city’s awesome public pools. With indoor and outdoor options scattered throughout Vancouver, there’s definitely something for everyone.

Open May 21 - September 5, 2017 from 12:00pm – 8:30pm.

Second Beach Pool is located at Stanley Park Dr and North Lagoon Dr.

2. Vancouver Aquatic Centre (Indoor)

Open 6:30am – 9:30pm Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 9:30pm on Saturdays and 10:00am to 9:30pm on Sundays.

Vancouver Aquatic Centre is located at 1050 Beach Ave.

4. Britannia Pool (Indoor)

Open 8:30am – 9:55pm Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 7:55am on Saturdays and 10:00am – 7:55pm on Sundays.

Britannia Pool is located at 1661 Napier St.

5. Templeton Pool (Indoor)

Open 6:30am – 9:30pm Monday – Thursday, 6:30am – 8:00pm on Fridays, 9:00am – 7:00pm on Saturdays and 2:00pm – 7:00pm on Sundays.

Templeton Pool is located at 700 Templeton Dr.

6. Lord Byng Pool (Indoor)

Open 6:00am – 10:00pm Monday and Wednesday, 6:00am – 9:00pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm on Saturdays and 10:00am – 5:00pm on Sundays.

Lord Byng Pool is located at 3990 W 14th Ave.

7. Kerrisdale Pool (Indoor)

Open 6:00am – 10:00pm Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 7:00pm on Saturdays and 8:45am – 5:00pm on Sundays.

Kerrisdale Pool is located at 5851 West Blvd.

8. New Brighton Pool (Outdoor)

10. Kensington Pool (Indoor)

Open 7:30am – 9:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am – 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kensington Pool is located at 5175 Dumfries St.

11. Killarney Pool (Indoor)

6:15am – 10:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am – 9:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

Killarney Pool is located at 6260 Killarney St.

12. Renfrew Park (Indoor)

Open 9:00am – 10:00pm from Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Saturdays and 10:30am – 5:30pm Sundays.

Renfrew Park is located at 2929 E 22nd Ave.

13. Hillcrest Aquatic Centre (Indoor/Outdoor)

The outdoor pool is open from May – September 2017 from 6:00am – 9:45pm.
