You wear your heart on your sleeve, so why not try a little civic pride on your chest? Inspired by some of the most prized items in the Museum of Vancouver archives, the MOV x Locomotive Clothing collaboration has resulted in some seriously cool t-shirts that are perfect for anyone looking to rep Vancouver on a daily basis.

The two designs, which are just the first in Locomotive Clothing’s collaboration with the museum, play off of two items that were donated to the MOV by Peggy Imredy, who actually donated a total of 3,356 pieces of Stanley Park related memorabilia to the Museum in the years before her death in 2015.

‘The Golden City' print is an interpretation of MOV Archive # H2008.23.326; the cover of a 1930’s booklet entitled Vancouver: The Golden City of the West, which was published for Vancouver's Golden Jubilee in 1936.

‘The Lions' print was inspired by MOV Archive # H984.1.1, which is a maquette that was made by sculptor Charles Marega during his design process for the iconic lion statues that stand on guard on the Lions Gate Bridge.

Each design offers a unique blend of both modern and heritage-focused design elements, which are a mainstay of Locomotive’s brand.

The new collection is now available at the Museum of Vancouver gift shop and locomotiveclothing.com. Better grab one before they sell out!
