Sorry Vancouver, no Tim Hortons Buffalo Sauce lattes for you

Canada's own Tim Hortons is trying out a Buffalo Sauce latte in two of their locations in (you guessed it) Buffalo, New York.

Move over, pumpkin spice, there's a new kind of latte catching some buzz, but you're going to have to book a flight to one U.S. city to try it.

Canada's own Tim Hortons is trying out a Buffalo Sauce latte in two of their locations in (you guessed it) Buffalo, New York.

Sorry, Vancouver, that means you're stuck being basic.

"Made from freshly brewed espresso, steamed milk, mocha, and bold Buffalo sauce flavor, the latte is topped with whipped topping and a dusting of zesty Buffalo seasoning," describes Tim Hortons in a release.

Tim Hortons says the idea to incorporate Buffalo sauce into its menu stemmed from noticing both the coffee-and-doughnut chain and the sauce were created in 1964.

The company has launched a series of zany products recently. Last Canada Day, some U.S. restaurants served Canada-inspired treats, including a poutine doughnut — cheese curds and gravy included.

But this isn't the first time NY Timmies has gotten inventive with the Buffalo sauce. In the summer of 2014, an area franchisee came up with a Buffalo Crunch Donut that consisted of a east doughnut dunked in Buffalo sauce and crusted with crushed-up chips. That delicacy was sold at the New York State Fair only.

The Buffalo Sauce Latte (BSL?) will be available "while supplies last" which could be a while, because, gross.

Vancouverites looking for inventive and palate-pleasing seasonal lattes may do better heading to many of our indie coffee shops and cafes, like Giovane, Railtown, Trees, and 49th Parallel.
