Killer 'Skull Crusher' Halloween cocktail almost too pretty to drink

The "Skull Crusher," is a seasonal cocktail that's ready for its close up.

Some Vancouver bartenders are really putting the "boo" in booze this October, with some creative seasonally-inspired drinks being poured in honour of Halloween.
At YEW seafood + bar at the Four Seasons Vancouver, mixologist Jessica Hoffman has created the "Skull Crusher," and it's definitely a drink that's ready for its close up.

Made with the unmistakable spirit Mezcal, cinnamon, and charred pineapple cordial, the drink is a nice balance of sweet, sour, and smoky. In a nod to Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) the "Skull Crusher" comes adorned with a colourful (safe to drink) traditional sugar skull applique on the foamy top.

If you sip carefully, you'll notice that the colour settles a bit into the foam as you work your way through the glass, softening the skull's edges (while the Mezcal softens yours).

Game to try it? The Skull Crusher is available now through October 31, and is priced at $15.
