Calling all coffee lovers: There's a brand new festival called Beanstock celebrating all things coffee in Vancouver.
Taking place in November in Railtown, Beanstock aims to showcase "the best of the city’s third wave coffee scene in the first and largest celebration of local, independent micro-roasters," according to organizers.
Taking their cue from Vancouver's obsession with beans and brewing, Beanstock was born thanks to the city's ongoing embrace of the "third wave" coffee movement, and is being run by industry pros for consumers and devotees alike.

The event will feature samples from 25 of Vancouver's top micro-roasters (think spots like Agro, Groundswell, and Pallet), and attendees will get to meet and mingle with the coffee creators and learn about what they do.
Additionally, Beanstock will feature coffee cocktails, local wine, a pop-up brew shop, craft beer, and artisanal food vendors.
While some coffee events are designed to attract people in the bean biz, Beanstock is open to the public, and is meant to be an accessible, fun, and coffee-fuelled day of tasting and learning.
Ticket prices come in two tiers: Entry-level tickets provide unlimited coffee samples, and a ticket for a sample bag of beans from your micro-roaster of choice; premium tickets also include vouchers for specialty food items, a commemorative mug and custom tote bag, plus two additional bags of coffee beans. You'll purchase based on an entry time.
Pricing ranges from $10 to $45, and include multiple price points based on when you purchase; tickets are on sale now.
