Vancouver Asian Film Festival
November 2-5 2017
Experience Asian culture through the art of film, featuring short videos and movies that show us struggles and experiences, such as “Gook,” about brothers protecting an innocent girl from the violence of the 1992 L.A riots, to the heartwarming tale of self discovery in “Columbus”.
World New Music Days
November 2-8 2017
Being the home of new music for nearly a century, the International Society for Contemporary Music has an annual festival that showcases new music and collaborations from talented and amazing artists from all over the globe. This year Vancouver is the host and you can be sure this will be a grand celebration of what new artists and singers have to offer us.
Vancouver Jewish Film Festival
November 2–12 2017
This weekend check out the Jewish Film Festival. This festival commemorates all the great and amazing films directed and created by the Jewish Community tackling controversial but necessary topics, such as “Shelter” a deep emotional tale of two women trying to survive and “In Between, Bar Bahar” a tale of cultural hardship, citizenship and trying to belong.
Then head out to some of these awesome live music, DJ nights, art events, and brewery parties! This weekend’s best events presented by our city’s #knowfun Selectors at Do604.
An Evening With Deer Tick

The weekend starts off with some gorgeous, lively, deep alternative and indie rock, featuring Deer Tick. Hailing from Rhode Island, the band is performing as part of their “Twice is Nice” tour, a great way to kick of the weekend. Hope you got a ticket early because they are sold out.

One of Rap and Hip Hop’s rising stars, 6LACK is here to blow up the night, showing off his talents at not one but two performances, wow. Described as deep, moody and emotional, 6LACK is a rapper truly for the millennial age.

Bringing to Vancouver their unique brand of EDM, ODESZA are here to take over the weekend with their sick dreamy but lively beats, their soulful melodies and deep funky bass sub tones, complemented by amazing and gorgeous visuals, not to be missed.
