It's hard to fault Homer Simpson for loving doughnuts so much. The glazed treats are an enduring favourite from the old fashioned doughnut shop to today's modern artisans.
One spot that's been turning heads and tempting tastebuds in Vancouver is Lucky's, who also happen to make a special pink Simpsons-inspired "Mmmmmm Doughnut" you can find at one of their shops.

The "Mmmmmm Doughnut" is one of Lucky's classic yeast rings, glazed with a strawberry buttermilk and topped with multicolour sprinkles. Mmmmmm, right?
Aaron Surman, Executive Chef for 49th Parallel and Lucky’s, tells Vancouver Is Awesome that this particular doughnut is one that he puts on special at the Kitsilano location of Lucky's, and it's been in his roster for a few months now.
Surman says it's fun to offer specials that vary from shop to shop as a bit of a sweet treat for customers.
The "Mmmmmm Doughnut" is $3, and will show up at the Kitsilano location (2198 West 4th Avenue) of Lucky's Doughnuts as a special.
