Fill your cup with this feel-good Hot Buttered Rum fundraiser

Need a surefire way to warm up and feel good this December?

For the second year running, Main Street’s Cascade Room has a delightful way to raise a cup and awareness for a worthy cause with their JT’s Hot Buttered Rum Mix fundraiser.

Named for and orchestrated by The Cascade’s General Manager Justin Taylor, JT’s Hot Buttered Rum Mix comes in 250 ml jars brimming with brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, and salt. Your job: mix with hot water or rum for a festive sipper. Each jar costs $12.

Partial proceeds from the sale of the mix go to support the Fawkes Academy Parental Advisory Committee. Fawkes Academy offers one-on-one individualized education for Vancouver children and teens who have special learning needs or who have autism spectrum disorder.

Taylor says he’s proud to have this fundraiser in place to support such a worthy cause, and loves sharing the drink with so many Vancouverites.

Speaking of the drink, a boozy version of the Hot Buttered Rum is on the menu at The Cascade Room this December, and $2 from each one purchased will also go to Fawkes Academy.

The JT’s Hot Buttered Rum Mix will available starting December 1, 2017 at The Cascade Room, El Camino’s, The Union and Main Street Brewing Company.
