Every year, Google publishes a survey of the top trending searches from around the world. Canadians were as curious as ever in 2017, particularly about American politics, natural disasters and age-old Canada-centric inquiries like, "why doesn't Caillou have hair?"
Neil Young and Gord Downie graced many Canadian search bars in 2017, while Bitcoin, North Korea, Hurricane Irma, Donald Trump and Harvey Weinstein also made regular appearances in our browser's history tab.
According to Google, these lists are based on search terms that had a high spike in traffic in 2017 as compared to 2016.
