Tuesday’s snowfall in Vancouver first brought out the OMGs and with it our smartphones, eager to capture those first few moments with the cold white stuff we don’t see here too often.

But as the day went on, and so did the snow, cameras were capturing some special moments, angles, and encounters all around Vancouver.

From shocks of colour to isolated spaces, a few four legged friends and familiar landmarks, we rounded up 32 of the most evocative images from our #vancouverisawesome hashtag on Instagram.

With more snow in the forecast this week, there are plenty more chances to have your own photographic snowy moment, but in the meantime, stay safe and dry, and enjoy these shots.
