For anyone feeling frustrated by bad drivers, crazy traffic and transit and flight delays today, we give you: Sea Otters Playing With Snowballs — a masterpiece of fluffy white stuff meets fluffy baby animals, and really the only good use for this snow, in our humble opinion.

The “otterly” adorable play day was part of the Vancouver Aquarium’s enrichment program for its two-year-old rescued sea otters Mak and Kunik, and eight-month-old rescued sea otter pup Hardy.

These sessions, overseen by the aquarium’s marine mammal trainers, are an important part of everyday care for marine mammals living at the facility, says the aquarium, and provide mental and physical stimulation for the animals while strengthening their bonds with their trainers.

Visitors to Vancouver Aquarium can get to know the six rescued sea otters – Tanu, Katmai, Mak, Kunik, Rialto, and pup Hardy — and their rescue stories during the aquarium's daily sea otter talks, through sea otter encounters, as well by watching the sea otters in their habitat via the live Sea Otter Cam and the Underwater Otter Cam.

If you want to dive a little deeper into the program, spend a day in the life of senior marine mammal trainer Kristi Heffron and learn more about threats facing otters in the wild.
