Neko Case’s siren-like voice will grace the shores of Jericho Beach this summer.

The Vancouver Folk Music Festival announced today the powerhouse singer-songwriter, member of the New Pornographers and former Vancouverite will play the festival's Main Stage on Friday, July 13.

Case’s appearance at the VFMF will be one of only a few Canadian performances she'll give this summer in support of her much-anticipated new album, Hell-On. It’ll be Case’s first solo release since 2013’s critically acclaimed The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You.

The last time Case was in town was for the 2016 Vancouver International Jazz Festival with k.d. lang and Laura Veirs, in support of their collaborative album case/lang/veirs.

Last week, the folk fest also announced legendary guitarist Ry Cooder as part of its 2018 lineup.

The 41st annual Vancouver Folk Festival runs July 13 to 15 at Jericho Beach Park. The full roster will be announced in the first week of May. Early Bird Tickets are on sale now at thefestival.bc.ca.
