UPDATED: Police looking for missing Vancouver man

Twenty-five-year-old Saeid Mirzaei Katik Lahijani last had contact with family shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday. Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 25-year-old who had possibly gone hiking near Grouse Mountain.

Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 25-year-old who had possibly gone hiking near Grouse Mountain.

Twenty-five-year-old Saeid Mirzaei Katik Lahijani last had contact with family shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday. According to police, Lahijani told family he was going hiking in the Grouse Mountain area, and would call when he returned.

“Saeid has not made contact with anyone since that time, and he is not believed to be equipped for the conditions,” Sgt. Jason Robillard said in a press release.

Lahijani is described as Middle Eastern, 6’1” tall and 175 Pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has information on Saeid’s whereabouts is asked to call police.

Update as of 11 a.m. Monday

Lahijani was located by North Shore Search and Rescue.

"He is cold but otherwise OK," Robillard said.
