Vancouver's top teasers will pay tribute ten of Vancity’s great musical talents at VanMusic Burlesque. The event features 10 outstanding burlesque performers, who have chosen one song by a local artist to serve as their inspiration for the evening's performance.
The event will take place at East Vancouver's historic Rio Theatre, which is currently trying to crowd-fund over $1,000,000 in order to buy their building in the wake of recent zoning change that has attracted the attention of developers who want to buy and redevelop the building. The theatre's #SavetheRIO campaign has attracted support from both local and hollywood celebrities like Kevin Smith and Ryan Reynolds.
