Coming up next month, three Vancouver magicians are putting up a Vegas-style production, Fate 2: The Dance and Illusions of Oslen, at Richmond’s River Rock Casino to raise funds for charity.

On April 8, Pauline Kong, who goes by the show name Fate, will perform with Oslen Chang from Canada’s Got Talent and Will Tsai from America’s Got Talent. Proceeds from the event will go to support the ICU at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Kong is currently an intensive care nurse at the Surrey Memorial Hospital. She started as a charitable event producer in 2005, performing magic shows for fundraising.

In 2014, Kong’s magic show, Fate: An Evening of Magical Wonders, raised more than $100,000 for the Surrey Hospital and Outpatient Centre.

She said on a website “I once was a patient and thankfully was given a second chance to live, so now it's my turn to give back to the community.”

Chang and Tsai, are both Vancouverites, and have appeared in countless shows in Canada and internationally.

Chang, who specializes in blending magic with dance, was a semi-finalist in Canada's Got Talent 2012 and awarded the best stage performance in CCTV Canada Talent Competition.

Tsai invented revolutionary magic and his performance on America’s Got Talent went viral online with 80 million views in 40 hours last year.

The show will start at 8 p.m. on April 8, but the doors are open 45 minutes early and there will be pre-show activities.
