Sakura Night: Epic food event marks cherry blossom season in Vancouver

Spring has sprung, and cherry blossom season is starting in Vancouver. This special time of year will be marked with an epic food event called Sakura Night.

Spring has sprung, and cherry blossom season is starting in Vancouver. Since there is no way much better to celebrate any festive occasion than with incredible eats and drinks, it's fitting that this special time of year will be marked with an epic food event called Sakura Night.

The Sakura Night Gala takes place on April 22, 2018, and will bring together several of Vancouver's top restaurants in an evening honouring incredible Asian-fusion flavours. Paired with B.C. craft beers, wines, and even some premium matcha Gabaron green tea, Sakura Night is promising an evening of undeniable good taste.

Participating chefs for Sakura Night 2018 are:

  • Chef Taka Omi of Benkei Ramen
  • Chef Nathan Lowey of Dosanko Restaurant
  • Chef Ken Nakano of Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver
  • Chef Masayoshi Baba of Masayoshi
  • Chef Will Lew of Notch8 Restaurant & Bar
  • Chef Nobu Ochi of Zen Japanese Restaurant
  • Maestro James Coleridge of James' Gelato

Guests will enjoy everything from a Cherry Blossom Ramen to fresh sushi and even a Salted Sakura gelato, in the lovely setting of the Stanley Park Pavilion.

Ticket prices are $160 plus tax $2.50 with a $100 charitable tax receipt issued at the event. Ticket sales end Wednesday, April 18 at midnight. Purchase tickets online here.
