From March 22 - 26, RED Academy will host a very cool pop-up workshop series at UBC geared towards University students considering careers in tech.
Aimed at budding tech superstars and future tech unicorns, each event will highlight key insights from the industry’s fastest-growing fields, including UX & UI, Digital Marketing and Blockchain Development.

March 22: Rapid Prototyping In UX & UI
Learn how UX and UI come together to create digital experiences that keep the user returning for more while meeting business goals. UX and UI are great fields for those studying graphic design, photography, sociology, psychology and cognitive science. No experience necessary.
March 22: Digital Marketing Campaign Creation
Learn how to identify a target persona, create a campaign and use this campaign to create strategies for major digital channels. Student currently enrolled in communications or international relations should definitely consider a career in Digital Marketing. No experience necessary.
March 26: Building On The Blockchain For Beginners
Discover how easy it is to build on the Ethereum blockchain. Join us for this hands-on workshop, where you’ll create your own working smart contract. This workshop is ideal for anyone with a computer science background that wants to build a base of front-end development skills and eventually work with blockchain technology. A laptop and basic JavaScript skills are required.
All workshops are $5. Proceeds from each event will go to Motionball, a charitable initiative supporting the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.
