The event's message is simple: "All bodies are good bodies - beauty comes in all shapes and forms and it's time our culture and media embrace that."

A Body of Art will be hosted by author Cynara Geissler of Arsenal Pulp Press, and includes the participation of a number of community organizers, singers, writers, artists, activists, and more.

Additionally, A Body of Art's fees for the day are on a unique sliding range of $40/$60/$80, allowing those with financial needs (parenting, medical, elderly, in debt, etc) the option of paying less.
