A strong Pacific cold front approaches the South Coast this morning bringing rain to most areas, according to Environment Canada.

The agency said as the cold front moves in later in the afternoon temperatures are expected to fall with flurries and hail possible over the South Coast today and Friday. A few centimetres of snow could accumulate inland and over higher terrain.

Friday will be moody with "a mix of sunny periods, showers, flurries or thunderstorms with small hail." The skies should start to clear up over the weekend with a mix of sun and cloud forecast for Sunday.
