VIDEO: A rare look at a raft of sea lions swimming, just off the Sea to Sky

Howe Sound boater and conservationist John Buchanan recently captured some amazing footage of sea lions and other underwater marine life.

In the video below his camera zooms in on a herd of sea lions as they make their way South near Furry Creek, just off the Sea to Sky Highway.

He then puts a camera underwater and gathers a fascinating look at what’s going on at the bottom of the ocean, well below the stampeding sea mammals. A “herring explosion” occurs, sending shrimp and herring storming.

Watch it to the end; it’s incredible how much is happening down there!
