The floral invasion of glassy Vancouver ?? #WHP? . Over 4 years ago, I bought my first DSLR camera. Even though it was only a few hundred dollars, that one splurgey purchase literally changed my life. My photos at first were total trash, but I kept at it, taking myself on photo walks all around Vancouver every chance I got. That’s actually how this whole Instagram thing started for me - I wanted to showcase the beauty of my city, even if it meant potato quality iPhone pics or overly filtered DSLR imports. As I improved, so did the opportunities that came my way. I taught myself how to edit, how to frame and how to not be embarrassed when taking elaborate self-timed photos ? Over time, this little DSLR came with me to 30+ countries, becoming chief bae for every long romantic walk, every photogenic gelato, and every twirly photo opp! . I felt mega nostalgic last week when I finally traded this “tiny DSLR who could” for an upgrade: the @SonyAlpha A7iii. This photo is the first of many to come from my little Alphred (yes he has a name), and I can’t wait to see what new opportunities will come up next ;) Instagram, say hi to Alphie!!! I’ve ditched my ex-camera in Vancouver now, so there’s no going back haha. . PS: 10 hours in a flying hover box later, I’ve traded Vancouver for the Netherlands! Peep into my Stories for a glimpse at one of the prettiest villages on Earth ?
