Backbone has Vancouver playing itself, but in a dystopian future where the city is surrounded by walls which keep out "savage hostile creatures".

They describe the look of the pixel game it as "A stylistic and thematic fusion of film noir, anthropomorphic animals, retrofuturism and dystopian classics".

Many of your favourite landmarks are rendered in hi-res pixel art, which will be brought to life in 2019 when they release.

Right now they've launched a Kickstarter campaign asking for your help bringing the game to life. Have a look HERE.
