Last week the baby mallard ducklings above lost their mother after she was hit by a car. A passerby called the BC SPCA who came and scooped em up, rescuing them.
These cute little puffs will be spending time at a place called the Wild ARC (Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre) and will be released in June.
And here's the thing; they eat specialized food and plenty of fresh food which is served up by volunteers all day every day. They'll be in care for months at the ARC, where rent and electricity for heat lamps is not free.
The agency will help more than 100 ducks like this in 2018, and they need our help. They've started a Medical Emergency Fund campaign where you can pitch in a couple bucks to care for these guys. Check it out HERE.
