The BC SPCA asking the public to help name Sweet Pea's foal born on April 22 at their Surrey Good Shepherd Barn.
Sweet Pea is approximately 12-years-old and stands 14.3 hands high. She was underweight and pregnant when she arrived at the barn at the beginning of December, 2017.
Staff say Sweet Pea was nervous and timid at first but now enjoys being doted on. She requires an experienced horse person to work with her and will be adopted out with her foal.
Name suggestions will be accepted online until May 8 and one randomly selected winner will be announced on the BC SPCA Facebook page on May 10.
The BC SPCA is currently has 25 horses in their care with five residing at the Good Shepherd Barn.
