Get a look behind the scenes at one of the country’s busiest raptor rehabilitation centres this weekend at Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society’s annual open house.

Proceeds from the two-day event go towards food, medical supplies, cage upkeep and facility growth.

OWL opens up 70 per cent of its 72nd Street facility during the open house, which also includes bird meet and greets and eagle talks from David Hancock both days at 11 a.m.

A highlight of the open house will be the release of a rehabilitated bird on both days at 1 p.m.

Food and drinks will be provided this year by the Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club food truck as well as the GYPSYtrunk Vegan Food Cart & Catering.

The open house goes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday. There will be shuttle bus service off of 80th Street.

Admission is by donation.

OWL is located at 3800-72nd St., East Ladner. For more call 604-946-3171, contact info@owlrehab.ca or visit www.owlrehab.org.
