Local writer Timo Sargent just released a spoken word piece on Facebook that you might be able to relate to.
It's what he calls a "conflicted love letter to Vancouver", and it's not one of those breakup letters we've come to expect from people leaving our city due to the affordability crisis. It's a letter from someone who's decided to stay and is... well... conflicted about it.
He told us that he came up with the idea for the piece when he was "holding on to fractured love", trying to decide if he was going to move across the country or stay here.
"In the midst of all the terror that decision-making brings me, I realized how much this city had grown to mean to me, and how it still seemed to hold so many more secrets and adventures and experiences waiting to be discovered.".
