Music festival season is upon us!
Founded in 2013 by Kia Zahrabi and Kris Hargrave, Ponderosa Fest has evolved from a literal party amongst friends to a full-scale festival that hosts some of Canada's best live acts.
The annual music and art festival takes place at the Rock Creek Fairgrounds in Rock Creek, B.C. This year's line-up includes Suuns, The Funk Hunters, K-os, Yukon Blonde, We Are The City, Dilly Dally and many, many more. You can view the full line-up below.
In 2015, the festival was forced to cancel due to the devastating B.C. wildfires. Following the cancellation, Ponderosa Festival refocused their efforts to help fundraise for members of the Rock Creek community that were impacted by the fire.
According to the festival website, "Rock Creek is a small community that enjoys its laid back, undiscovered, reputation and we want to be sure the festival grows at a rate that the community is comfortable with. This is one of the reasons why we see Ponderosa as a niche festival – a unique getaway festival experience for both longtime festival goers and those looking to try it for the first time."
