“The production of Deadpool 2 spent much more than its predecessor in the province, benefiting local vendors and communities, and creating thousands of jobs," says Wendy Noss, president of the Motion Picture Association -- Canada in a release.

Over 80 days of filming the production spent:

B.C. Premier John Horgan says Deadpool 2 spent over $100 million in B.C.  “When producers come here to film, they have access to incredible talent and crews, state of the art studios, VFX facilities and scenery that is unmatched."

Local moviegoers will recognize various places in the film including: an aerial shot of Stanley Park, the Lion's Gate Bridge, Granville Street Bridge, Hatley Castle on Vancouver Island, which serves as the X-Mansion and Riverview hospital in Coquitlam, which stands in as an orphanage for troubled mutant youth.
