The B.C. Wildfire Service is responding to what they're calling a "small but very prominent wildfire" which is currently burning on the west side of Harrison Lake.

The 0.5 hectare fire is located about 8.5 km north of Harrison Hot Springs, on the west side of the lake just north of the Sts'ailes First Nation reservation.

13 crew members, 1 water tender, 2 helicopters, and airtanker support are responding.

They're reporting that it is in heavy timber, bunring at "Rank 2" which is a low level ground fire. At this time they suspect that it's human-caused, from firearms use.
