That moment a crowd breaks into song, followed by an expertly curated dance routine taking place in the middle of a busy street… That would be quite something.
Well, Yaletown might just be the place where all of your musical theatre dreams come true.
Let’s Hear it for Yaletown will feature free live jazz and dancing everyday from June 25 - June 29.
Hosted by the Yaletown BIA and curated by Vancity Hot Jazz Society, Let’s Hear it for Yaletown, brings you the sounds of some of the best live Canadian jazz bands to delight your ears and heat up your dancing feet. Each day will feature the sounds of a different era, including 1920s hot jazz, swing and the big brass blasts of New Orleans.
Free dance lessons will be provided between sets so you too can join the party and dance the workday away.

FRIDAY, JUNE 29: Swinging Era Hot Jazz
Live music will happen from 11:00am - 1:00pm and 5:00pm - 7:00pm daily.
If nothing else, taking your lunch break to get down to some gypsy jazz is sure to put a smile on your face for the rest of the work day, so don’t forget your dancing shoes!
