One of Vancouver's favourite summertime events, The Deighton Cup, returns this year and they are celebrating a milestone anniversary.
Now in its tenth year, The Deighton Cup will mark their decade with another afternoon of food, fashion, and, of course, some horse racing.

Taking place Saturday, July 21 at the Hastings Racecourse from noon to 8 pm, this event, put on by Parade Agency and The Social Concierge, gives Vancouverites the chance to get dolled up for a day at the races.
Founded in 2008 in response to the familiar "No Fun City" vibe in Vancouver, The Deighton Cup will celebrate their 10th anniversary in style.
Attendees can feast on food from some of the city's favourite chefs and restaurants. The menu will include things like aburi sushi from Miku and Minami to soulful meats from Dixie's BBQ, and much more. Those opting to book a a Trackside VIP Booth or Grandstand Box will enjoy a spread from the acclaimed Hawksworth Restaurant.

Horse racing, a car show, the Style Stakes Best Dressed competition, and an oyster shucking competition are all part of the day's fun. And guests will be decked out in all their finery.
Things get underway the day before, on Friday, July 20, at the 6th Annual Cocktail Jockey Mixology Competition, which takes place at Prohibiton at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Area bartenders will be mixing up their take on rum punch and competing for a cash prize, and the glory. You can maximize your fun and get combo tickets for both this and The Deighton Cup, too.
