Gregor Robertson, Michael Smith and John Becker will all be co-hosting shows on CKNW on Friday
Over the past two months CKNW (on air at 980AM) has been broadcasting a monthly series called CKNW’s Mayors Day.
The format is simple: on one day each month, 3 mayors sit in with hosts of CKNW radio shows, as co-hosts.
The politicians interview guests as well as engage with listeners about different hot-button issues in their respective constituencies.
Since April, 6 mayors have acted as co-hosts. This Friday, June 29th these 3 more will join in:
- District of West Vancouver mayor Michael Smith will co-host The Jon McComb Show starting at 8am.
- Pitt Meadows mayor John Becker will co-host The Simi Sara Show starting at noon.
- Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson will co-host The Lynda Steele Show starting at 2pm.
The closest you'll get to asking these politicians a question would be at a public hearing, or randomly on the street. You'd never get the type of answer that they're essentially forced to give during the call-in sections of these shows.
