Video: Richmond driver crashes truck at gas station

A Richmond driver has has received a 24-hour driving prohibition and multiple violation tickets after driving a Ford F-150 onto a curb, knocking over displays, hitting a pole, then fleeing a Vancouver gas station on Thursday night.

A video posted to Reddit shows the man had tried to drive his car between cars pumping gas and a 7-Eleven building at Knight Street and East 57th Avenue. Instead, he crashed his car into a pole and knocked over a display of bottled water.

“You cannot go anywhere, alright? You’re on camera,” said an off-screen voice to the driver of the truck.

“Are you stupid?” the man added.

The driver of the truck then got back into his vehicle and tried to drive away, but crashed into the pole again. The car then fled the scene.

According to Global News, police later found the driver at a home in Richmond and issued the violation tickets.
