The company that owns the Vogue Theatre, The Yale Saloon and the Biltmore Cabaret has bought Imperial Vancouver.

MRG Group owns a number of properties across Canada and has been operating since 2008. Earlier this year, the MRG Group bought Donnelly Events -- the company behind the Surrey Fusion Festival and Khatsahlano Street Party.

“I’ve admired the work that the Imperial team has done to create a unique and thriving event space; Their passion for service, entertainment and hospitality has established the Imperial as a leading facility in the marketplace” says MRG president Matthew Gibbons in a release.

“We see the Imperial as a perfect complement to the Vogue and the Biltmore, and we look forward to creating memorable experiences for fans, artists and clients across all these properties,” Gibbons says.

The Imperial is a 6,000 square foot multimedia and event space located at 319 Main Street in Vancouver.

MRG Group says the venue will continue to operate as an open, bookable room for both public and private events.
