The team behind AnnaLena took over the space formerly occupied by Mission in Kits, and since AnnaLena is known for their fried chicken dish, they've got a fried chicken sandwich on rotation a this new, chic cafe. It's made with buttermilk fried chicken, caramelized onion jalapeño aioli, lettuce, and pickled cabbage, but the catch is you have to check their daily menu and Instagram to see if it's available.

The Chinatown fried chicken and ribs joint has a killer fried chicken sammy on the menu. Made with their buttermilk-marinated fried chicken, the sandwich is served with BBQ sauce and slaw, and comes in regular and spicy versions. Good news: For weekend brunch you can add an egg to it. Even better news: Juke is prepping a second location, this time over in the West End.

Things are hot and crunchy over at this Kits spot that specializes in elevated comfort food. Their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich includes whole wheat breaded fried chicken covered in hot sauce, topped with provolone cheese, cabbage slaw, lettuce, red onions, and creamy mayo.

The DL Chicken Shack can't keep their hot stuff a secret anymore. The standalone joint specializes in Nashville Hot Chicken, and you can get it on a milk bun with tangy pickles and sweet and sour slaw to balance out the heat.

Chewies - Coal Harbour

Available at lunch time only at the Coal Harbour location, zoom in on the Po'Boys section of the menu to find Chewies' Fried Chicken sandwich, served on a crusty French baguette with garlic aioli, lettuce and tomato, and a sweet honey drizzle.
