Party4Health is inviting everyone to strip down to their underwear and run for fun to kick off Pride weekend.

"When people take off their clothes, it's a crazy community-bonding experience. And the more sense of community, the more fun a party is," says Party4Health founder and director Jacques Martiquet.

Martiquet has organized underwear runs in Toronto and at the University of British Columbia -- now he brings the magic to his hometown of Vancouver.

The Vancouver Undie Run and dance party is presented with support from BN3TH Underwear (formerly MyPackage) and the Vancouver Pride Society.

He says the event aims to generate a natural rush of endorphins brought on by the high of human connection, and the freedom of grooving, jumping, and jogging through the streets, public spaces, and SkyTrain stations of downtown Vancouver.

The event costs $3 and participants need to register to receive a notification of where to meet for the start of the run, which will go down Davie Street and travel throughout the city.

Catch the Vancouver Undie Run from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, August 3. The event is drug and alcohol-free.
