Crave the Heights: 10 days, 10 Burnaby restaurants with special menus

Crave the Heights is an annual event run by the Heights Merchants Association, and it's a 10-day stretch where 10 participating local restaurants have special menus to help you get to know what they have to offer.

North Burnaby's "The Heights" neighbourhood is a lively place for shopping and eating, and while it's been a vibrant community for decades now, not everyone knows that it's a great dining destination.

“We have been participating in Crave ever since we opened five years ago,” says Christophe Bonzon, owner and pastry chef of Chez Christophe Chocolaterie Patisserie. “It is a great showcase of what Burnaby Heights has to offer with special menus from restaurants, bakeries, and dessert places. We have such a vibrant and diverse community here – that is why we love being in the Heights. There is definitely something for everyone.”

For their special offering, Chez Christophe has been inspired by blueberry season in B.C. for a Iced Brew-berry Coffee (cold brew coffee muddled with housemade blueberry syrup, and topped with a fresh B.C. blueberry whipped cream and drizzle) and Blueberry Coffee Choux (B.C. blueberry confit, coffee monte, and caramelized cocoa nibs in choux pastry).

As a tasty bonus, there will be live musical performances, so you may find buskers serenading you outside your new favourite Burnaby Heights restaurants.
