Vancouver Coastal Health has deemed Trout Lake now safe to swim in, and three Vancouver beaches which were closed earlier this week are now safe as well.
Metro Vancouver beaches are monitored weekly from May to September to ensure that water quality meets the Canadian Recreational Water Quality guidelines, which recommend an E. coli level of no more than 200 bacteria per 100 millilitres of water. Trout Lake is currently sitting at 150.
Break out the swimsuit and enjoy the beach this weekend. It's going to be sunny both days and is expected to get up to 27 degrees on Sunday.
