Uber Eats will now deliver to most of Metro Vancouver, but not all

We still don't have Uber itself, but Uber Eats is continuing its push in the Vancouver market and has now expanded to include food delivery services in more Metro Vancouver communities.

Starting Thursday, August 23, Uber Eats is now available for customers in much of Richmond, Langley, North Vancouver, Surrey, Maple Ridge, and Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam.

Sadly, the service remains unavailable in Delta, and in most communities east of Highway 15 (including parts of Surrey, Langley, and Fort Langley). In fact, when it comes to communities south of the Fraser, the City of Delta is a glaring omission--though if you punch in an address within that area Uber Eats says they are "continuing to expand so check back soon."

As a sweet bonus, Uber Eats is offering free delivery on all orders in Metro Vancouver through the end of September, no code needed. The delivery service has had several prolonged periods of free delivery since its Vancouver launch in December 2017.

Uber Eats is one of many on-demand restaurant delivery services operating in the region.
