As part of the investigation, police executed a search warrant in the 7600-block of Rosewood Street on August 9.

Officers also seized a log book allegedly containing addresses of victims, pieces of stolen ID and mail and a post office box master key set.

The two people who were arrested were allegedly found in possession of fraudulent identification and materials used in the production of fraudulent identification.

A 35-year-old Burnaby man is facing charges of Possession of Break-In Instruments, Theft from Mail, and various weapons related charges.

"Identity theft has a significant impact on its victims and on the community as a whole. We are confident that this investigation will reduce the amount of break-ins and mail theft that was occurring in the City of Burnaby,"says Corporal Daniela Panesar.
