There were doodles and poodles, hounds and pugs, and doggos galore Sunday at Pet-a-Palooza in Yaletown. The Vancouver neighbourhood really went to the dogs for an expo for man's best friend and the men and women (and kids!) who love them.
With dog races, vendor booths, and a ton of four-legged photo ops, there was much to see and celebrate on what was National Dog Day (August 26).

Pet-A-Palooza started in Victoria by co-founders of the Just Love Animals Society, Jordan Illingworth and Lonnie Powell. The event is a fundraiser for the Victoria-based society, which provides education and awareness on holistic animal care.
Incidentally, the organizers are also behind a new app that's like Tinder for people with pets. Paw right!
