Timothy's Frozen Yogurt is selling the business after 30 years

It's hard to imagine a summer's day in Steveston Village without stopping in for a swirl of frozen yogurt from Timothy's. The popular cold treat shop has been operating in the community for 30 years. Recently the family-run business revealed they are selling the business.

It's hard to imagine a summer's day in Steveston Village without stopping in for a swirl of frozen yogurt from Timothy's.

The popular cold treat shop has been operating in the community for 30 years. Recently the family-run business revealed they are selling the business.

"After 30 years of serving the Steveston community, we are officially selling our family owned and operated business," says Timothy's on their Facebook page. "We’d like to thank our loyal customers for their support and for making Timothy’s Frozen Yogurt what it is today – we couldn’t have done it without you."

There has been tremendous development in the area, including the addition of the Steveston Farmers and Artisan Market in 2008, and increased competition from trendy Instagram-bait spots like Cacao 70 a few doors down.

Still, there's always much to love about the frozen yogurt shop. Owner Tim Culling has kept it fresh, like with the use of chalk art from a talented local. And those Timothy's cones are very photogenic:

Now, just because Timothy's is selling doesn't mean that there won't be a great frozen yogurt and ice cream shop there--it's just that Culling and his family won't be the proprietors. Timothy's is currently accepting inquiries via their website for prospective new business owners.

We'll update once we know more.
