How to get one of 2000 free slices of B.C.’s biggest blueberry pie

Blueberry season is reason enough to celebrate, but when that beautiful blue B.C. bounty goes into a pie, well, look out tastebuds. So how about the biggest blueberry pie in all of B.C.?

City of Surrey

That’s the endeavour of the Pie in the Plaza event in Surrey’s Central City, which celebrates our regional agricultural industry and family fun with a pretty epic baking task.

The Pie Shoppe will be on hand to supervise the baking of the province’s largest blueberry pie, and not only can you watch the pie being assembled, but you can also stick around for a slice–although it’s probably not going to come out as a tidy sliver, considering the scope of the pie.

Organizers will be doling out about 2000 servings from this massive pie.

In addition to the pie, the event will feature family-friendly free fun like pony rides, live entertainment, an inflatable corn maze, and more.
