Meditation Park was shot in Chinatown and East Van. The film follows a Chinese-Canadian grandmother who embarks on a journey of independence and self-discovery after learning that her husband has been having an affair and premiered at the 2017 Vancouver International Film Festival.

Meditation Park will be presented in English with traditional Chinese subtitles.

Organizers say the event will proceed rain or shine and if it does rain the film and performances will be moved to the David Lam Hall of the Chinese Cultural Centre of Vancouver.

Seating is limited to 120 people and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Everyone is encouraged to dress appropriately as the event will remain outdoors if it is raining lightly.
