Vancouver's brief relationship with Japanese fusion taco shop Kurumucho has come to an end.
The small shop, located at 985 Hornby Street (at Nelson) on a block packed with Japanese options, opened in the spring of 2017.
Kurumucho specialized in fusion fare, like the IG-bait sushi taco and sushi burrito. Deep-fried seaweed stood in for hard taco shells, and fillings included sushi-style pieces of salmon, avocado, cucumber, sesame seeds and so on.
They announced their closure on Instagram, effective at the end of the business day, Thursday, September 6.
