Campfires are still banned here, except for in the fog zone

As we reported yesterday , campfire bans have been lifted for much of British Columbia. If you're looking to enjoy one in the area surrounding Vancouver - say out in the Fraser Valley or wherever you camp - you're out of luck.

As we reported yesterday, campfire bans have been lifted for much of British Columbia.

If you're looking to enjoy one in the area surrounding Vancouver - say out in the Fraser Valley or wherever you camp - you're out of luck.

The only place in the Coastal region where you're currently allowed to have a campfire is in the "fog zone", shown below in purple. Check out the map of it HERE.

If you're an idiot and decide to have one anyway you'll risk a $1,150 fine. And that's not per fire, it's for every person standing around that fire.

Learn more about campfire bans in our province and how they're implemented HERE.
