Moving into a new build at Executive Group Development's Shops at West on 2nd Avenue just east of Cambie. And when we say "long-awaited," it's not a stretch: Vancouver first learned of the planned third location of Nook back in the summer of 2016, when the restaurant was eyeing a 2017 open.

Now, however, we've heard they should finally be ready to open the doors on Monday, September 24--they're just waiting for the final permitting to be handled.

Previously:

Nook is best known for their approachable Italian fare, including house-made pasta dishes (featuring pasta made by one of our favourite Instagram-ing chefs), as well as salads, antipasto, and pizzas.

You can expect the menu to be much the same at the new location, confirms Bradley Roark from Nook via telephone. Since each Nook outpost has a different feel, the new location will surely adopt its own identity thanks to the customers and the neighbourhood.

Nook Olympic Village will kick off with dinner service starting at 5 pm daily, then as soon as they've settled in, they'll add on weekday lunch and weekend brunch service.

The third location has indoor seating for 78, and what's also in the works is a patio, which could be in place, offering a great deal more seating--and the first Nook patio!--this spring.

Nook's first locations are in the West End and Kitsilano, and the restaurant is a sibling to both Tavola and Oddfish. They've already revealed plans to add a fourth Nook at the Shipyards development in North Vancouver, too.

"We are pleased that Nook will be opening, alongside our recently opened and thriving WildTale, the Flying Pig, Bao Down and all our other unique restaurants which provide quality, convenient and healthy fare," said President of the Executive Group, Salim Sayani earlier this year.

Nook is located at 195 West 2nd in Vancouver's Olympic Village neighbourhood. Follow them on Instagram for updates.
