BC Family Hearing Society is hosting an education fair next week

BC Family Hearing Resource Society helps children up to 5 years old with varying stages of hearing loss and they are the largest not-for-profit organization in British Columbia serving children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing.

"It’s not how you communicate that’s important - it’s simply that you DO!"

That is the message provided by the BC Family Hearing Resource Society, who help children up to 5 years old with varying stages of hearing loss. As the largest not-for-profit organization in British Columbia serving children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, they provide early detection intervention services as well as family-care workshops.

They also provide support, education, sign language instruction and peer-to-peer mentoring to families throughout the province. With a family-centric approach, they work in partnership to provide quality, personalized intervention services.

Ultimately, they believe that communication, in any mode, is key to the well being of each child. Specifically, having the ability communicate ones needs, desires, feelings, opinions and ideas are the cornerstone of a healthy and fulfilling life. Right now, the society is the only one in BC that offers a wide variety of communication options to families.
